Boarding at Hunting Ground is among the finest in the area. We offer around-the-clock care: the owner lives on the premises.
Our facilities allow for the finest care. We have a full time barn manager and a small part-time staff that allows us to pay close attention to boarders. All horses are turned out in small groups of 2-4, although individual turnout is available.
We feed twice daily- 12% sweet feed, beet pulp and supplements (supplied by you) may be given at no extra charge to your animal. Our turnout policy is 12/12 (12 hours in, 12 out). During the summer, the horses are turned out at night. During the winter, horses are turned out during the day.
Farm-owned horses are clipped & blanketed in the winter, and blanketing is available to boarders at no extra charge and clipping is available for a minimal charge. However, any horse who is to be blanketed MUST HAVE TWO BLANKETS. This is to ensure that if one blanket gets extremely wet, the horse will not be cold without another..
All farm-owned and the majority of boarders use one farrier or you may bring your own. However, if you bring an outside farrier, there will be a holding fee or you must be there to hold your animal. We use Dr. Debbie Kelley as our vet or you may also bring your own , but the "outside farrier" rule still applies.
Boarding is $500 a month in the upper barn, $450 a month in the lower barn.
